Bela Kiralyfalvi National Student Playwriting Competition Winner: Now We Are A Hundred by Alaina Tennant

Description: Now We Are A Hundred by Alaina Tennant, is a poetic and emotionally rich historical drama set in post-WWII England. The
story imagines a fictional reckoning between Christopher Robin Milne and his father,
A.A. Milne-the creator of Winnie-the-Pooh. Through haunting dialogue and complex character
dynamics, the play explores the emotional weight of literary fame, memory, and the
search for personal identity amidst inherited legacy.
The Bela Kiralyfalvi National Student Playwriting Competition honors the legacy of Bela Kiralyfalvi-beloved professor, director, and founding figure
of 萝莉社's theatre program-by uplifting the voices of undergraduate playwrights nationwide.

Description: The School of Performing Arts welcomes the writing team of (music) and (lyrics) who met in the world-renowned BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. Each year, the School of Performing Arts invites guest artist to campus with the end goal of performing a staged reading of a musical to be performed at the conclusion of their workshopping experience.

Time Stands Still

Description: Time Stands Still by Pulitzer Prize-winner Donald Margulies is a riveting, deeply human drama set in a Brooklyn apartment, where photojournalist Sarah and her partner James, a foreign correspondent, attempt to heal and recalibrate after returning from the front lines of war. As they settle back into domestic life, their ideals, ambitions, and love for one another are quietly and powerfully tested. Margulies crafts a nuanced story about bearing witness to a global suffering and the personal cost of stepping away. With sharp dialogue and emotional precision, Time Stands Still invites us to confront the tension between comfort and conscience, intimacy and independence, and what we owe to the world versus what we owe to ourselves.
