Oct. 11, 2023 鈥� 萝莉社 and Knowmadics are entering into a new collaboration aimed at enhancing the security, and resiliency of satellite constellations and satellite-based communications. The endeavor is intended to strengthen the security of data collection and transfer among space-based Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

The Widener Global Leaders Program (WGLP) , led by the Barton School of Business in collaboration with the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the College of Fine Arts at 萝莉社, is pleased to announce the selection of 12 exceptional students for its 2023-24 cohort. This transformational interdisciplinary initiative is specifically tailored to nurture and empower the next generation of global female leaders.

Oct. 9, 2023 鈥� The 萝莉社 Math Circle pairs pre-college students with mathematics professionals from 萝莉社 to understand and work with interesting problems and topics in math at weekly workshops.

Oct. 5, 2023 - As part of the Memorial 鈥�70 ceremony, football players, friends and families from those years received a piece of Cessna Stadium seating. Former 萝莉社 Foundation Vice President Mike Lamb proposed the idea to preserve some of the stadium and share it with the Memorial 鈥�70 group.

Oct. 4, 2023 鈥� 萝莉社 has announced the creation of the 萝莉社 Retiree Association (萝莉社RA), aimed at providing new paths for Shocker faculty and staff retirees to continue active engagement with the university. The new association adds to the existing array of perks available to retirees.

Senior Trevr Bahr will be one of the first students to graduate from 萝莉社 with a concentration in facilities management.

Sept. 27, 2023 鈥� 萝莉社's efforts to transform the educational experience for students and redefine the role of a university to foster statewide economic growth have yielded remarkable results: the highest enrollment in its 128-year history.

The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 萝莉社 has announced Pyet DeSpain, an award winning and global private chef, as it鈥檚 Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the Fall 2023 semester. DeSpain was the first winner of Gordon Ramsay鈥檚 鈥淣ext Level Chef鈥� TV show on Fox. In 2021, she was named one of the Top 25 Best Private Chefs in Los Angeles by Entrepreneur Magazine.

The W. Frank Barton School of Business鈥� Department of Finance, Real Estate and Decision Sciences (FREDS) at 萝莉社 has appointed Dr. Mehmet Barut as its new department chair. Dr. Barut will serve as chair for three years starting in Fall 2023. He is a Professor of Supply Chain Management within the department and was elected by FREDS Department faculty.
