Feb. 27, 2024 The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 蹤獲扦 has named its two recipients of the 2024 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This years winners are Annika Lindeman from Eisenhower High School in Goddard, Kansas, and Abby Rexford from West Jessamine High School in Wilmore, Kentucky. They will each receive more than $32,700 spread over four years to attend 蹤獲扦 and major in entrepreneurship.

Feb. 26, 2024 蹤獲扦s College of Engineering has named the latest group of 11 high school seniors to join the Wallace Scholar program. The Wallace Scholarship recipients will receive $30,500 each to attend 蹤獲扦 for four years.

蹤獲扦 Concert Chorale Heads to Denver - Students in Wiedemann Recital Hall

In a historic moment for 蹤獲扦, the 蹤獲扦 Concert Chorale is set to make its mark at the Southwestern Region American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Convention in Denver, CO., on Saturday, March 2. This significant achievement marks the first time in 30 years that 蹤獲扦 will be represented at an ACDA event.

On Saturday, February 17, 2024, the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 蹤獲扦 hosted its first-ever Beyond Hall of Fame gala. The event took place at the beautiful and iconic Mark Arts and inducted three members into its inaugural class: W. Frank Barton, former president of Barton Distributors and co-founder of Rent-A-Center; Clark Bastian, chairman of the board at Fidelity Bank; and Fran Jabara, founder of the Center for Entrepreneurship at the Barton School of Business. Business and university leaders, community members, esteemed alumni, and family and friends of the inductees attended. Each honoree was recognized in a special manner and received their well-deserved awards. Family members of Frank Barton and Fran Jabara accepted these posthumous inductions on their behalf.

Sherry Urtons path into arts leadership and management is deeply rooted in her passion for dance and community. Currently serving as Registrar & Student Life Manager at Joffrey Academy of Dance, the Official School of the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago, Sherry will graduate with her MA in Arts Leadership & Management (MAALM) this summer.
