As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, faculty experts in the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at 萝莉社 are studying the way populations have reacted and adapted. Presentations in the Perspectives on the Pandemic: Part II series feature a political scientist, sociologist, criminologist, health disparities panel and performing arts professional. Each event will be delivered via Zoom and hosted by Andrew Hippisley, dean and professor of linguistics.

Aug. 11, 2020 鈥� The city of Wichita鈥檚 transit department will be assuming operations of the Shocker bus service beginning Aug. 17. There will be a total of four 萝莉社 routes, beginning Aug. 17.

Aug. 10, 2020 鈥� From suburbia to cities across the globe, caffeine and wine are often a source of collective comfort: the first for a morning pick-me-up, the latter to unwind. Now a 萝莉社 professor has discovered evidence to suggest that even our ancient ancestors enjoyed these drinks.

Aug. 10, 2020 鈥� From high-tech aerospace engineering to movie theater popcorn, Shocker Studios鈥� animation students are building diverse portfolios of work. Through 萝莉社鈥檚 partnerships, animators-in-training have been able to gain practical experience with industry leaders, such as Spirit AeroSystems.

Aug. 10, 2020 鈥� Dr. Cory Gibson, superintendent of the Valley Center School District and graduate of 萝莉社, has been named the Kansas Superintendent of the Year for 2019-20.

August 7, 2020 鈥� Applied computing student Noah Sentry and biomedical engineering student Leah Fisher are part of a student team in ENGR 302. From a list provided by Samantha, Noah and Leah chose to use their skills to help Sutton, a 6-year-old with cerebral palsy. 5/05/20
