The Widener Global Leaders Program (WGLP) announces 12 new students have been accepted for its 2024-25 cohort. Applicants for the program reached record levels with a 23% acceptance rate. WGLP is led by the W. Frank Barton School of Business in collaboration with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the College of Fine Arts at 蹤獲扦 for students majoring in business, communication and fine arts. It is an interdisciplinary program designed to create the next generation of global female leaders and provide them with a transformational, multidisciplinary educational experience so they can thrive upon graduation.

Jeff Hayton

In 2022, Hayton published his first book, Culture from the Slums: Punk Rock in East and West Germany, which explored the emergent punk scenes on both sides of the Iron Curtain. Intersecting cultural production with political and economic theory, Hayton explains the differences in state reactions to the rise of punk.

Vivian Zavataro

The Widener Global Leaders Program has announced that Vivian Zavataro, executive and creative director of the Ulrich Museum of Art at 蹤獲扦, has joined its advisory board. The WGLP is led by the W. Perinatal HOPE kits

Oct. 18, 2024 For more than a year, HOPE kits, from 蹤獲扦s Health Outreach Prevention and Education Services, have helped people deal with crises. 蹤獲扦 is taking that successful program and adapting it to the perinatal population with Growing HOPE kits.

Barton School of Business

The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 蹤獲扦 announces the selection of three distinguished industry leaders to be inducted into its Beyond Hall of Fame. These inductees are the second class to be recognized for their visionary leadership and remarkable achievements to the Barton School and community. Their official induction will take place during a celebration on Saturday, February 21, 2026, which will coincide with the 100th year anniversary of the Barton School.

By addressing critical gaps in the healthcare system, the lab is also offering invaluable hands-on training for students, shaping the future of health care.

Wichita Biomedical Campus

Oct. 9, 2024 - The Wichita Biomedical Campus is using a $1 million grant to purchase audiology equipment for assessment, teaching, and research, supporting workforce training for in-demand jobs.

Nancy Kersenbrock

The Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) within the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 蹤獲扦 has appointed Nancy Kersenbrock to Interim Director of the organization. Kersenbrock previously served as the Associate Director of CFE.
