Graphic novel celebrates 萝莉社's first 125 years

Dec. 1, 2020 鈥� In honor of 萝莉社's 125th anniversary, three 萝莉社 faculty members have teamed up with an alumna artist to create "A Walk with Wu," a graphic novel that chronicles the university's rich history through the eyes of our beloved mascot: WuShock.

Shocker-branded buses hit the streets of Wichita

Dec. 1, 2020 鈥� Two new battery-powered buses wrapped in Shocker pride will soon be seen zipping through Wichita鈥檚 streets. Wichita Transit recently unveiled the 萝莉社-branded buses, which are ecofriendly, filled with modern conveniences, and will circulate among the university鈥檚 main campus, as well as 萝莉社 South, 萝莉社 Tech and the Metroplex.

Gregg Marshall resigns as head men's basketball coach at 萝莉社

Nov. 17, 2020 --- 萝莉社 Director of Athletics Darron Boatright has accepted the resignation of Head Men鈥檚 Basketball Coach Gregg Marshall, effective immediately.

Kansas population predicted to grow by 28.8% by 2070

Nov. 16, 2020 鈥� 萝莉社's Center for Economic Development and Business Research has released its Kansas population forecast for the state and all 105 counties. Kansas鈥� total population is expected to grow by 28.8% to approximately 3.76 million residents by 2070.

NIAR receives $13.7 million from Air Force for advanced composites research

Nov. 12, 2020 鈥� The聽National Institute for Aviation Research聽(NIAR) has received another $13.7 million contract from the United States Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to extend the Modeling for Affordable, Sustainable Composites (MASC) research program.
