Favorite hangout spot on campus
My favorite place to hang out on campus is Woolsey Hall. The inside is absolutely stunning 鈥� it's a world-class facility that our students get to use every day. Just outside, you鈥檒l find the Promise Bridge, a popular gathering spot for both students and the community. The landscaping and peaceful atmosphere make it my go-to spot to relax. And it doesn鈥檛 hurt that local food trucks often park nearby 鈥� perfect for grabbing a bite while enjoying the view!
Advice for future Shockers
Remember, everyone is in the same boat as you. It鈥檚 completely normal to feel nervous or hesitant about leaving home and starting college 鈥� but you鈥檙e not alone. I encourage students to step out of their comfort zones, get involved, speak up, and show up. This is your time to express your true self and make the most of every opportunity.
