Overview
Valerie Corradini is a 麍nancial services executive with expertise in investment management, wealth advisory, institutional consulting and 麍ntech.
As a Graystone consultant at Morgan Stanley, her team advises roughly 50 clients representing
over
$7.5bil in assets. Hers is one of fewer than 60 teams accredited to specialize in
the 麍duciary management of discretionary and advisory portfolios on behalf of hospitals,
faith-based organizations, universities, non-pro麍ts and complex ultra-high net worth
families.
While a Managing Director at Barclays Global Investors (BGI), Valerie led the inaugural
Sales Strategy e麍ort to launch the iShares exchange-traded funds (ETFs) business,
as it pioneered a new category of tax-e麍cient index investing that has grown to a
$9.6tril global industry. One of the original iShares products, the S&P 500, remains
the largest of over 10,000 ETFs today with its $520bil in market capitalization. As
adoption of ETF investing gained momentum, Valerie was asked to grow and lead the
Private Client Group, overseeing intermediary sales to national full service, regional
and independent advisory 麍rms. Over 5 years, Valerie developed the iShares private
client business to over $120bil in assets, generating over $320mil in annual revenue.
She led her team through the Global Financial Crisis of 2008 and the merger of the
top two investment management 麍rms as BlackRock acquired Barclays Global Investors.
To complement her investment expertise, she expanded her reach into human capital
leadership, growing Egon Zehnder Internationals Asset Management Practice and the
FinTech Practice at Heidrick & Struggles. In 2014 Valerie was recruited to Visa, Inc.
to lead Human Resources for Ryan McInerney (then President, now CEO), responsible
for roughly 6,500 global employees. In this role, she was responsible for the HR management
of all client and revenue-generating lines of the business. She led the consolidation
of the Commercial Payments, Financial Inclusion and Business Process functions before
joining the Global Client Business as Chief Operating O麍cer.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Corradini was a Senior Vice President of Sutro & Co. (now
RBC) and Director of the Investment Management Services department, a $2bil platform
providing portfolio management and consulting services to individual and institutional
clients. Prior to joining Sutro in 2000, she was a First Vice President at Salomon
Smith Barney as the Consulting Group Regional Director for Southern California. In
this role she helped 麍nancial advisors learn 麍duciary investing, asset allocation,
manager selection and risk management. Valerie began her career in wealth management
and institutional
consulting at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co in New York City."

Valerie holds a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California, Los
Angeles in Economics/Business and a Global Executive MBA from TRIUM, a consortium
of NYU Stern, London School of Economics & HEC Paris. She has held the Certi麍ed Investment
Management Analyst (CIMA) designation since 1998 and is currently Series 7, 63 and
66 FINRA licensed.
She resides in the town of Hillsborough, a suburb south of San Francisco, with one
son at Ithaca College (Chemistry major, Music minor) and another at Arizona State
University (Mechanical Engineering).
